Hall widths in Zürich Altbau
Many Kreis 1 halls measure under 1.2 m. We keep unit depth to 32–40 cm with slim hinged doors or open peg rails so two people can pass with grocery bags.
Shoe and coat split
A ventilated shoe plinth sits low; coat hanging occupies the middle; a high shelf takes suitcases and winter sports bags used only a few weekends a year.
Bench option
Where the hall flares near the door, a short bench with lift-up seat hides scarves and dog leads. Seat height matches Swiss flat thresholds so tying shoes stays comfortable.

Wet-weather detailing
