Finish choices sit as the outer readable layer of every Kindred Corner closet. We sample in daylight at Bahnhofstrasse and again on site under your room lamps.

Timber veneers

European oak remains the default for Seefeld and Kreis interiors that want warmth without heavy stain. Walnut suits darker parquet and brass hardware. Veneers are book-matched on long doors so grain reads continuous.

Painted and lacquer fronts

Matte lacquer hides fingerprints better in entry nooks. Soft sheen works in bedrooms where light from lake-facing windows is strong. We keep colour chips limited to a curated set so repairs years later stay possible.

Brass and ironmongery

Pulls and hanging rail ends can follow the studio brass #C4A574 family or stay quiet in brushed steel. Soft-close hinges are standard on packages above the entry nook band.

Interior linings

Carcass interiors stay light — maple ply or pale lacquer — so dark coats remain visible. Optional cedar strips for wool storage sit behind ventilated doors on request.

Samples and approvals

You keep physical samples for one week. Approval is written before we order sheet goods. Changes after cutting start a new fee line on the quote.

Care

We leave a one-page care note with each install: wipe agents, humidity range for Zürich flats, and when to call us about hinge adjustment after the first heating season.
